Roost Crate Unboxing for August
Have you heard of Roost Crate?
Let me share with you my unboxing of my August Roost Crate. Roost Crate is a new monthly subscription box, sharing handcrafted items from local artisans & businesses in NY and the surrounding area. Basically it’s your farmers market in a box, delivered each month to your door!
I am a huge fan of farmers markets so to have this box filled with products from other markets in the NY and surrounding areas was so awesome to me, I couldn’t wait to try it.
First let me share with you how carefully packaged it was.
When I opened the box I was so excited to see a beautiful reusable canvas tote with Roost Crate’s logo. This will be great for when I do go to the Farmer’s Market or shopping. Thank you!
The first item I was drawn to was the beautiful smell of the soy wax candle from Berry & Birch. I love the smell I received the Brown Sugar Fig. What I especially like is the fact that it’s a handmade soy candle, which does not put harsh chemicals in the air in my home, but still makes the house smell good.
Again another product I was drawn to. I love it. The smell is so natural and to know that it’s not only made here in the USA but that it’s gluten free, paba free, and other chemicals and made with only natural goat’s milk and natural vitamins, which is so beneficial to your skin was a big plus. I wash my hands a lot and to know this product will not dry out my skin like a lot of other chemicals soaps is great.Next was the T & J Soap: Lemon Lime Lip Balm. I use lip balm everyday and to find one that locally made and are healthy for you. They are made with only high quality ingredients- all of which are paraben & sulfate free.
Then we received a small jar of jam from V Smiley Preserves. I received the Rhubarb Vanilla Honey Jam. I have not opened this yet but look forward to try it.
And lastly there was a beautiful bar of chocolate from Barkeater Chocolate, it was the Sea Salt Downhill Darksider. I am not a huge fan of dark chocolate but this had a really good taste to it. Love that it’s all natural, non-GMO and gluten-free.
I love boxes like these from local artisans. I find new businesses and products that are made right here in the USA and are mostly all natural and much better for you and your family,
